Socio-Ec Data Report Revision
Last week, a revised Socio-Ec Data Report
was released based on user feedback. Some state DOTs do not use CEQ threshold analysis to identify EJ populations. The Socio-Ec Data Report was revised so that planners from these states can use the report as well. If you have any comments about the revision, we are all ears.

In The Works
Saving Project Geographies
Your engineer changes his mind and the project scope for the 100th time. Now you have to redo the alternative analysis and the socio-ec section …again. Wouldn’t it be nice to have the Census blocks and block groups for your project area saved? In April, we will be working on providing customer accounts so that you can save the geographies that you select and modify those geographies as your project scope changes.
Identifying Project Area Geographies with an Interactive Map
Figuring out the blocks, block groups and census tracts in a project area is a pain! We are researching the development of an interactive map that would display roads and small area Census geographies. You could use this interactive map to identify the Census geographies in your project area.

A Note to Readers
We decided to change the format of our email announcements to monthly newsletters. We did not want to bombard anyone with announcements. Plus, we wanted to share what we are researching for the future so you can tell us what you think of our ideas!
Want to hear about new NEPA tools more than once a month? You can follow Cubit’s Twitter Feed. Not into Twitter? Any Cubit revision or release is posted on the News Archive.
